Duties
- Perform comprehensive diagnostics using advanced automotive diagnostic tools to identify issues across various vehicle systems including powertrain, electrical, suspension, transmission, and ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems).
- Conduct repairs and maintenance on vehicles, including engine repairs (gasoline and diesel), transmission system repairs, wheel alignment, suspension system repairs, and electrical system troubleshooting.
- Interpret automotive wiring diagrams and schematics accurately to facilitate precise repairs and installations.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other maintenance tools efficiently to complete repairs with quality workmanship.
- Service vehicle systems such as steering, brakes, transmissions, and electrical components while adhering to manufacturer specifications.
- Maintain detailed repair records and perform auto estimating to ensure transparent communication with customers about service needs.
- Follow dealership procedures for vehicle inspection, maintenance schedules, and safety protocols to uphold high standards of service quality.
Skills
- Proven dealership experience with a strong background in automotive repair and diagnostics.
- Proficiency in interpreting automotive wiring diagrams and schematics for complex electrical systems.
- Experience working with ADAS technologies and automotive diagnostic tools to troubleshoot modern vehicle systems effectively.
- Mechanical knowledge across various vehicle components including engines, transmissions, powertrains, suspension systems, and electrical wiring.
- Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and automotive service machinery.
- Ability to perform precise vehicle alignment and suspension system repairs ensuring optimal handling and safety.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients.
- Familiarity with GM vehicles or similar makes is a plus; experience with auto estimating software is advantageous.
- Demonstrated mechanic experience with diesel engine repair, vehicle maintenance routines, and system diagnostics.
- Technical proficiency in automotive electrical systems and transmission repairs to handle diverse service needs confidently.

Pay: $18.50 - $30.00 per hour
