Position Summary
Odyssey Mechanical, LLC is seeking an experienced Multifamily Plumbing Service Technician to support our expanding multifamily operations division. This is not a traditional residential service role. Multifamily operations focus on responsiveness, consistency, operational efficiency, and long-term property relationships across large apartment portfolios. This role focuses on high-volume plumbing service, repairs, diagnostics, maintenance, and replacement work for apartment communities and multifamily properties across multiple service markets. Technicians must operate efficiently, communicate professionally, and maintain strong workmanship standards while supporting rapid response expectations.
Primary Responsibilities
Diagnose and repair plumbing systems within multifamily properties
Troubleshoot leaks, stoppages, water heater issues, fixture failures, pressure concerns, drain issues, and related plumbing problems
Install property-supplied parts and Odyssey-supplied repair materials
Perform common multifamily plumbing repairs and replacements efficiently
Complete water heater replacements and repairs to current code requirements
Maintain professional communication with property managers, maintenance teams, residents, dispatch, and service leadership
Identify recurring failures, infrastructure concerns, and replacement opportunities while onsite
Support preventative maintenance visits and long-term property planning initiatives
Accurately document findings, photos, recommendations, and completed work within ServiceTitan
Collect property-specific equipment and layout information to support operational planning
Maintain stocked service vehicle inventory and minimize unnecessary supply house trips
Maintain clean, organized, and professional workmanship standards Performance Expectations
Fast response and efficient field execution
Strong same-day completion rates whenever possible
Quick and accurate troubleshooting and diagnostics
Ability to work within a high-volume multifamily service environment
Comfortable performing repetitive repair and replacement work efficiently across similar property layouts and unit types
Professional communication within occupied apartment communities
Maintain urgency while balancing workmanship quality
Represent Odyssey Mechanical professionally and help support long-term multifamily customer relationships
Requirements
3+ years plumbing service experience preferred
Multifamily or property management experience preferred
Strong troubleshooting and repair abilities
Experience with water heaters, fixtures, drain systems, shutoffs, and residential plumbing systems
Ability to work independently and manage multiple daily service calls efficiently
Strong communication and documentation skills
Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record
Travel Requirements
This position requires willingness to travel throughout Odyssey Mechanical’s multifamily service footprint based on operational demand and customer needs, including: Wilmington Jacksonville New Bern Fayetteville Raleigh/Durham Greenville Myrtle Beach/Conway Charleston Columbia Additional travel may be required as multifamily operations continue to expand.
**Electrical/HVAC expereince is a plus!

Pay: $25.00 - $29.00 per hour
