Pay: $20 – $25.00/hour (DOE)
Job Type: Full-Time
Schedule: Monday – Friday | 8-hour shifts
Direct Supervisor / Reporting To: Heather Robertson
Employment Status: Full Time 40 Hours
Expected Start Date and Urgency: July 6th
Seeking a patient, dependable, and enthusiastic teacher for our 3-year-old classroom. Hours are 9:00 AM–6:00 PM.
Responsibilities include creating and implementing curriculum, leading circle time, planning activities and crafts, supervising children, and maintaining a safe, engaging learning environment.
Candidates should have knowledge of California Title 22 regulations and be able to ensure classroom and child compliance at all times.
Qualifications Requirements: 12 ECE Units, including:
- 3 units in Child Development
- 3 units in Curriculum
- 3 units in Child/Family/Community
- 3 units in Infant/Toddler (Preffered)
Minimum six months of experience in a licensed child care center or comparable group childcare program.

We are currently seeking a qualified Infant Room Teacher who meets California infant/toddler ECE unit requirements and brings passion and professionalism to our Gold River team. Provide classroom support across all age groups as needed, including breaks, lunches, staff absences, and end-of-day coverage. Assist with maintaining ratios, supporting classroom staff, and ensuring smooth daily operations
Key Responsibilities
- Provide safe, responsive care to infants and toddlers in alignment with licensing regulations and Excelsior standards
- Create a warm, developmentally appropriate learning environment that supports physical, emotional, and cognitive development
- Maintain accurate daily logs and communication with families regarding infant care routines and milestones
- Implement emergent, play-based curriculum and engage infants in sensory-rich learning experiences
- Conduct and document daily wellness checks and maintain meticulous health and safety standards
- Collaborate with teaching assistants and administrators to support smooth classroom operations
- Attend regular team meetings, trainings, and professional development sessions
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom setting, both indoors and outdoors
- Report suspected child abuse in compliance with mandated reporting laws
Required Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- 12 ECE units required, including 3 units in:
- Child Growth & Development
- Child, Family, and Community
- Infant/Toddler Development (mandatory)
- At least 1 year of experience in a licensed child care center with infants/toddlers
- CPR and First Aid Certification (EMSA-approved, current)
- Completion of Health & Safety Training including lead prevention
- Mandated Reporter (AB 1207) training completion
- Must pass criminal background clearance (DOJ, FBI, and Child Abuse Index)
Preferred Qualifications
- Site Supervisor Permit or working toward it (strongly preferred)
- Experience in Reggio Emilia, STEAM, or nature-based programs
- Familiarity with multi-language or bilingual environments
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to lift up to 35 lbs, stand for extended periods, and move easily between floor and seated positions
