Accentuate Staffing is working with a growing engineering and manufacturing organization that develops custom electrical, controls, and power-distribution solutions for industrial, data-center, and utility environments. This Electrical Design Engineer will support the design and refinement of engineered electrical systems while working closely with engineering, production, quality, field-service, and customer teams.
The ideal candidate will bring strong electrical drafting skills, a solid understanding of control and power circuits, and the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment. This role will focus heavily on electrical schematic development, design revisions, production support, troubleshooting, and maintaining accurate as-built documentation.
Responsibilities:
- Create and revise electrical schematics and related design documentation for industrial control panels, switchboards, and other engineered power-distribution products using electrical CAD software.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to develop and improve control and power circuits for new and existing products and applications.
- Work directly with production personnel to refine designs for manufacturability, accuracy, efficiency, and cost-conscious execution.
- Incorporate customer-requested changes into electrical designs while ensuring drawings and documentation accurately reflect approved project requirements.
- Provide technical and troubleshooting support to production, quality, and field-service teams when electrical or controls-related issues arise.
- Document shop-floor and field modifications, maintain drawing revisions, and produce accurate final as-built electrical drawings.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years of related electrical design, controls, power-distribution, or industrial control-panel experience; relevant power or controls experience is preferred.
- Strong electrical CAD skills; experience with AutoCAD Electrical is highly desirable.
- Solid understanding of industrial controls, electrical power circuits, schematics, and electrical design principles.
- Familiarity with UL 508A industrial control panel requirements; knowledge of related power-distribution standards is beneficial.
- Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and operate effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be a U.S. citizen and able to travel occasionally to customer or vendor locations as project needs require.
