Duties
- Develop and implement differentiated lessons that are aligned with curriculum standards, focusing on literacy education, math, science, and social studies for 2nd grade students
- Foster a positive classroom atmosphere through effective classroom management and behavior management strategies that promote respect, cooperation, and enthusiasm
- Incorporate learning technology tools to enhance student engagement and understanding across various subjects
- Assess student progress regularly using standardized testing methods and provide tailored instruction or intervention as needed
- Collaborate with colleagues and participate in school-wide initiatives and activities that support the school's mission and goals.
- Skills
- Proven experience in classroom management, lesson planning, and working with students at the elementary level
- Strong communication skills to effectively engage with students, parents, colleagues, and administrators
- Expertise in literacy education, math instruction, and standardized testing preparation
- Knowledge of learning technology platforms and tools used for instructional purposes
- Ability to adapt teaching strategies for children with special needs or those requiring early intervention services
- Excellent writing skills for creating clear instructional materials, reports, and progress updates
