- Military Evaluation Services (MES) is hiring a part-time 1099 PSYCHIATRIST, PHYSIATRIST, or NEUROLOGIST to perform in-person interviews for America’s Veterans and Service Members as part of the Veterans Benefits Administration's (VBA) disability claims process also called Compensation and Pension exams.
- The PSYCHIATRIST, PHYSIATRIST, or NEUROLOGIST will conduct an interview, review the Veteran's records, type the responses in a portal, and add a medical opinion (if requested). This process provides the support that allows the VBA to determine service-connection status and rating (monetary disbursement).
- The ideal PSYCHIATRIST, PHYSIATRIST, or NEUROLOGIST would be available at least a half day to 1 full day per week (with availability for 3 to 6 visits per day).
- There is no treatment, no on-call responsibilities, no scheduling, and no billing necessary on your behalf.
WE COVER LIABILITY INSURANCE if you are not using your own business office.
- 2 years physician experience required.
- Curriculum Vitae (CV) or Resume.
- MD or DO degree from a regional-accredited university at the time of graduation.
- Current and unrestricted Florida practitioner's license with no pending criminal case.
- Complete credentialing applications with additional documents submitted within 48 business hours.
- Complete required 15-16 hours of VBA video module training plus agency training within 1 wk = $400, within 2 wks = $250, within 3 wks = $100, after 3 weeks $0.
- Other requirements established by the credentialing and hiring agencies that meet company, local, state, and federal standards or policies.
