We are looking to expand our growing hygiene department in order to keep up with patient and referral demand.
Coastal Periodontics is looking to add a skilled, personable, and outgoing hygienist to our growing team! Office and team culture are very important - As a result, personal and professional growth are the foundation of our daily practice.
As a periodontics specialty office, our patients expect only the highest standards of care and that is expected of each team member.
Every hygienist is an integral member of the team and is involved in each patient's care from their initial visit. Responsibilities include conducting a comprehensive new patient exam, acquire any necessary x-rays/cbct/etc. and educate patients about the treatment. Furthermore, non surgical treatment (Scaling/rt. planing) and periodontal maintenance are a large component of each day.
**Responsibilities:**
- Perform oral health assessments and take X-rays
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques
- Maintain accurate patient records and treatment plans
- Follow infection control protocols and maintain a sterile environment
- Collaborate with the rest of the team to provide comprehensive care
-Provide exceptional periodontal care (Non-surgical scaling/Rt. planing, periodontal maintenance, etc.)
**Skills:**
- Proficiency in aseptic technique for infection control
- Familiarity with electronic documentation and record keeping
- Experience working in a dental office setting
- Understanding of HIPAA regulations for patient privacy
- Ability to assist dentists during procedures
- Knowledge of medical terminology and vital signs monitoring
- Familiarity with dental imaging techniques
- Understanding of dental coding practices
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $50.00 per hour
