Overview
We are seeking a compassionate, reliable, and dedicated Bilingual Home Health Aide (HHA) to provide one-on-one care and support for a young boy with Cerebral Palsy in his home. The ideal candidate is fluent in both English and Spanish, has experience working with individuals with disabilities, and is committed to promoting safety, comfort, independence, and overall well-being.

Client Details:
- Young boy with Cerebral Palsy
- Wheelchair user
2 Shifts Schedule:
- Sunday: 9am-5pm Monday-Wednesday 2pm-8pm
- Saturday: 9:00am-5pm Thursday-Friday 2pm-8pm
Responsibilities
- Assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and personal hygiene.
- Provide mobility assistance and support safe transfers using a Hoyer lift and other assistive equipment as needed.
- Monitor and observe the client’s condition, documenting changes and reporting concerns appropriately.
- Support the client’s physical, emotional, and social well-being.
- Prepare nutritious meals and snacks according to dietary needs and preferences.
- Perform light housekeeping duties, including laundry, tidying living spaces, and maintaining a clean and safe environment.
- Accompany and assist the client with daily routines and activities as directed by the care plan.
- Collaborate with family members and healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care.
Qualifications & Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Current Home Health Aide (HHA) Certification required.
- Current CPR Certification required.
- Level 2 Background Screening required.
- Local background check required.
- Current TB screening and physical examination required.
- Reliable transportation and dependable attendance required.
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish required.
- Experience in home health care, assisted living, nursing homes, or long-term care settings preferred.
- Experience working with individuals with Cerebral Palsy, developmental disabilities, or physical disabilities preferred.
- Knowledge of basic medical terminology, vital signs, and documentation practices.
- Ability to safely lift and transfer patients using Hoyer lifts and other assistive devices.
- Ability to perform physically demanding caregiving tasks while maintaining a safe environment.
