Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Caregiver to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide essential support to patients in various settings, including home community care and senior care facilities. This role is vital in ensuring the comfort and well-being of individuals with developmental disabilities, dementia, and other health-related needs. As a Caregiver, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the quality of life for our patients through direct support and personalized care.
Responsibilities
- Assist patients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation.
- Provide direct support to individuals with developmental disabilities, ensuring their safety and comfort.
- Monitor patient health by checking vital signs and reporting any changes to nursing staff.
- Offer companionship and emotional support to patients, fostering a positive environment.
- Implement care plans developed by healthcare professionals tailored to each patient's needs.
- Assist with mobility and physical therapy exercises as directed by healthcare providers.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in patient living areas to promote a safe environment.
- Engage in memory care activities for patients experiencing cognitive decline.
Skills
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and team members.
- Experience in home community care or senior care settings is preferred.
- Knowledge of dementia care practices and techniques for working with individuals with memory loss.
- Cooking skills to prepare nutritious meals that cater to individual dietary needs.
- Understanding of social work principles as they relate to patient care and support.
- Compassionate approach towards working with individuals with developmental disabilities.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team while maintaining patient confidentiality.

Pay: $18.50 - $20.50 per hour
