Jimmy's Trucking, a stable, 75-year-old family run company located in South Plainfield, New Jersey is one of the premier Flavor & Fragrance distribution companies in New Jersey. Our business is expanding and we are looking for qualified warehouseman/forklift operators.
We are seeking a Warehouseman/Forklift Operator Associate to join our team! You will be responsible for loading and off-loading trailers, picking/packing orders, validating product quantities, repalletizing as needed, and completing the appropriate paperwork. These functions will be performed in a fast paced warehouse operation consisting of flavors, fragrances and chemicals.
Responsibilities:
- Loading / Unloading Trailers/ Ability to back in and out trucks with yard horse
- When unloading materials/pallets/drums/totes from incoming tractor trailers/straight trucks/containers; store materials to assigned places.
- Will locate and move stock of products/pallets/totes or crates for storage or shipment. Will help load products, totes, pallets/drums into outgoing tractor trailers/straight trucks/containers for shipment. Will make sure paperwork (bill of lading/manifests) matches with what is being loaded.
- Identify damages and report shortages or quality deficiencies.
- Validating inbound and outbound product counts.
- Managing warehouse paperwork (inbound/outbound Bill of Ladings, Inbound product receipts, move sheets, inventory logs, etc)
- Catching and fixing shipping errors.
- Assist in physical inventories, handle accurate counting and reconciliation of customer shipment/inventory.
- Interface with management to ensure key objectives are realized.
- Inspect machinery for repairs.
- Help maintain a safe and orderly environment of the facilities, including the general housekeeping/cleaning of the facility.
- Maintain safety regulations and compliance with all applicable regulations.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications/Skills:
- Previous experience in warehouse operations
- Experience as a forklift operator.
- High School Diploma
- Ability to read a manifest/bill of lading.
- Good attendance a must.
- (On the interview you will be tested on driving a forklift)
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $24.50 per hour
