Studio D2D Event Venues – Grand Rapids, MI
Studio D2D is seeking an energetic, professional, and reliable DJ to provide exceptional entertainment for weddings and special events. Our venues feature a fully installed, professional-grade sound system and event lighting, so your focus will be on creating an unforgettable experience for our couples and guests—not transporting or setting up large equipment.
Responsibilities
- Talk with couples prior to their wedding to discuss music preferences, timeline, announcements, and special requests.
- Create customized playlists that match each couple’s style and vision.
- Operate Studio D2D’s in-house sound and lighting systems during events.
- Serve as the Master of Ceremonies (MC), making clear and professional announcements throughout the event.
- Coordinate with venue staff, photographers, videographers, caterers, and planners to keep the event running smoothly and on schedule.
- Read the crowd and adjust music throughout the evening to keep guests engaged and the dance floor full.
- Arrive early to perform equipment checks and ensure everything is functioning properly.
- Maintain a polished, professional appearance and provide outstanding customer service.
- Report any equipment issues or maintenance needs after events.
Qualifications
- Previous wedding or event DJ experience preferred.
- Confident public speaking and microphone skills.
- Strong music knowledge across a wide variety of genres and generations.
- Excellent organization and time management.
- Ability to remain calm and flexible under pressure.
- Comfortable working evenings and weekends.
- Reliable transportation to Studio D2D venues.
- Experience using digital DJ software and controllers is preferred.
