Stumph Dentistry, a family-focused general dental practice in Boonville, MO, is looking for a friendly, dependable Dental Assistant to join our team. Duties
- Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing dental instruments and ensuring all necessary equipment is ready for procedures.
- Assist dentists chairside during a variety of treatments such as dental prophylaxis, oral surgery, endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry.
- Manage patient management software and electronic medical records (EMR systems) to document treatment details accurately while maintaining clinical confidentiality policies.
- Provide patient care by explaining procedures, taking vital signs, and ensuring comfort throughout visits.
- Follow infection control procedures including dental sterilization protocols and aseptic techniques to prevent healthcare-associated infections.
- Support the dental reception team by managing appointment scheduling, patient check-in/out processes, and handling medical documentation with professionalism.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Dental Assistant or in a similar dental clinic environment with knowledge of general dentistry procedures.
- Familiarity with dental software such as Carestream and Soft Dent.
- Strong understanding of dental terminology, medical terminology, and anatomy relevant to oral health care.
- Certification in dental assisting or related field preferred; CPR certification is advantageous.
- Knowledge of infection prevention management, dental sterilization procedures, and aseptic techniques required to ensure patient safety.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members such as dental receptionists and healthcare professionals while providing outstanding patient care.
Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
