Duties
- Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards, ensuring quality and presentation.
- Assist with menu planning by suggesting new dishes and improvements based on customer feedback and seasonal ingredients.
- Handle food safely by following proper food handling procedures, maintaining cleanliness, and adhering to health regulations.
- Support kitchen operations by organizing ingredients, managing inventory, and ensuring all food prep areas are stocked and sanitized.
- Collaborate with team members to deliver excellent food service, ensuring timely delivery of orders to guests or dining areas.
- Maintain knife skills and other culinary techniques to ensure efficient meal preparation and consistent quality.
- Participate in catering events or special functions as needed, providing exceptional service and food presentation.
Experience
- Previous experience in a restaurant or food industry setting is highly preferred, especially in a kitchen or culinary environment.
- Familiarity with dietary department procedures or dietary aide experience is a plus, demonstrating an understanding of special dietary needs.
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling techniques is essential.
- Experience with meal preparation, cooking methods, and food service operations will help you excel in this role.
- Demonstrated proficiency in knife skills, food presentation, and basic menu planning will set you apart.
