Classic Refrigeration is a leading commercial refrigeration and HVAC service company operating across multiple states. Our field technicians are on the road every day — and keeping them in safe, well-maintained, properly equipped vehicles is critical to how we operate.
The Role We're looking for an experienced Fleet Coordinator to own the day-to-day management of our rapidly growing service vehicle fleet — This is not a logistics, dispatch, or trucking role. This is a hands-on fleet operations position focused on maintenance management, compliance, procurement, and asset management for a working fleet of pickup trucks, service vans, and utility/service bed trucks used by field technicians.
What You'll Own
- Preventive maintenance scheduling and repair coordination across the entire fleet
- Vendor relationships with dealerships, upfitters, and service shops
- Vehicle procurement — spec'ing, ordering, and upfitting new units for field use
- Title, registration, and licensing compliance for all vehicles across multiple states
- Fuel card program management and mileage/usage tracking
- Driver violation monitoring, MVR reviews, and fleet safety policy enforcement
- Asset disposal — managing trade-ins and auctions for retired vehicles
- Fleet management software and data reporting (cost per unit, utilization, downtime)
- Insurance coordination with internal risk/operations teams
Who You Are
- 2-5 years managing a fleet of light-duty commercial vehicles (pickups, vans, service trucks)
- Background in field service, construction trades, utilities, or similar industries
- You understand the difference between a well-spec'd service truck and a delivery van
- Familiar with upfitting — shelving, ladder racks, crane bodies, toolboxes
- Organized, process-driven, and comfortable managing a high-volume fleet independently
- Proficient with fleet management platforms (Fleetio, Samsara, Verizon Connect, or similar)
- No CDL or DOT/FMCSA Experience required — this is not a trucking operation
Benefits
- Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance
- Paid Time Off and Company Holidays
- Career Growth Opportunities within a growing organization
