We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated MHRT 1 Mental Health Support professional to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to client-centered care. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact by providing direct support, and crisis intervention in a dynamic environment focused on empowering clients toward greater independence.
Duties
- Provide direct mental health support to clients, assisting with daily activities and promoting emotional well-being.
- Implement behavior intervention plans tailored to individual needs, including applied behavior analysis techniques when appropriate.
- Monitor vital signs, administer medication as prescribed, and document medical records accurately within electronic health records (EHR) systems while maintaining HIPAA compliance.
- Utilize crisis management and de-escalation techniques to ensure safety during behavioral or emotional episodes.
- Maintain thorough medical documentation and ensure confidentiality of all client information in accordance with privacy regulations.
Physical Requirements:
Safely drive a vehicle without limitations to vision, hands or feet. Must have full mobility of neck and not impaired by prescription medications or illegal substances.
Employees will be expected to frequently bend, lift (up to 30 lbs), walk and climb stairs in the course of a work day either at the program or in the community to assist clients with daily living skills, activities, etc.
Sanding, salting and shoveling snow from outdoor walkways and stairs is a requirement during inclement weather.
Employees will need to be able to administer safety measures such as FA/CPR, assist clients with stability and movement or in emergency medical or psychiatric situations.
Minimum Qualifications:
Must have a High school diploma or G.E.D., be of at least 18 years of age, have a valid Maine driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Candidates will be trained for the MHRT 1 and CRMA through the Motivational Services Training Center.
**Sign on Bonuses will be paid out over the course of 1 year.
