Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and motivated 26ft Box Truck Driver to join our team. This role involves local and regional deliveries and pickups, ensuring freight is transported safely, efficiently, and on time. You will play a key role in daily operations by handling freight, completing scheduled routes, and maintaining professional service standards.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate a 26ft box truck (Hino or similar) in compliance with all traffic laws and company safety standards
- Complete scheduled deliveries and pickups to customer locations
- Load and unload freight using pallet jacks, forklifts, or manual handling when required
- Ensure cargo is properly secured and handled to prevent damage
- Follow assigned routes and complete deliveries on schedule
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
- Communicate with dispatch regarding delivery status, delays, or updates
- Maintain accurate delivery paperwork, mileage logs, and inspection reports
- Provide professional and reliable customer service during all stops
Qualifications
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Experience operating a 26ft box truck or similar commercial vehicle preferred
- Ability to safely load and unload freight
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently
- Basic understanding of cargo securement and road safety
Work Schedule
- Full-time position
- Flexible schedule based on business needs
- May include weekends and occasional night shifts
Pay: $20.00 - $21.00 per hour
