About the Role
Founders Fence is seeking an experienced Operations Office Accountant to join our growing team in Lake Elsinore. This is a unique hybrid position that combines financial accounting with day-to-day operational support, making it ideal for someone who enjoys working across multiple areas of the business.
The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring accurate financial reporting while supporting daily office operations, project accounting, and administrative processes. This position requires strong accounting knowledge, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced construction environment.
This is an in-office position. Remote work is not available.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Perform job costing and project accounting
- Assist with month-end and year-end financial processes
- Reconcile bank and general ledger accounts
- Prepare financial reports and maintain accurate accounting records
- Support daily office operations and administrative functions
- Coordinate with project managers, vendors, and customers regarding financial matters
- Monitor budgets, project costs, and operational expenses
- Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with company procedures
- Assist management with operational reporting and process improvements
Qualifications
Required
- Fluent in Spanish and English
- Minimum 5 years of accounting experience, preferably within the construction industry
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and best practices
- Experience with construction accounting, including job costing, accounts payable, and accounts receivable
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Experience using CRM and accounting software
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines
- Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills
Preferred
- Construction industry experience
- Experience working in a fast-paced operations environment
- Knowledge of inventory or materials management is a plus
