Position Summary
We are seeking a friendly, organized, and dependable Administrative Assistant to join our childcare team. This position is the first point of contact for families and visitors and plays an important role in supporting the daily operations of our daycare center. The ideal candidate has excellent customer service skills, strong attention to detail, and enjoys working in a fast-paced, family-oriented environment.
Responsibilities
- Greet and assist parents, children, and visitors in a professional and welcoming manner.
- Answer and direct phone calls, emails, and other inquiries.
- Maintain children's records and ensure all paperwork is accurate and up to date.
- Assist with enrollment, withdrawals, and tuition documentation.
- Process payments and maintain accurate financial records.
- Support licensing compliance by organizing and maintaining required documentation.
- Order office and classroom supplies as needed.
- Assist the Director with scheduling, reports, and other administrative tasks.
- Maintain confidentiality of children, families, and staff.
- Perform general office duties, including filing, copying, scanning, and data entry.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; associate degree preferred.
- Previous administrative or office experience required.
- Experience in a childcare, preschool, or daycare setting is preferred.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and basic computer applications.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Professional, positive, and customer-focused attitude.
