Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during examinations and procedures, ensuring a smooth workflow.
- Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary supplies are available.
- Take and develop X-rays as needed, adhering to safety protocols.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
- Maintain accurate patient records using dental software systems.
- Manage appointment/patient flow and patient follow-ups efficiently.
- Handle administrative tasks such as presentation of simple treatment plans.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the dental clinic.
Requirements
- Previous experience in dental assisting is preferred, with a strong understanding of general dentistry practices.
- Knowledge of dental terminology and dental imaging techniques is an asset.
- Proficiency in using dental software systems such as Dentrix and Sidexis is highly desirable.
- Experience working in surgical/implant/sedation dentistry is a plus but not mandatory.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and team members.
- Attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Certification in dental assisting or relevant training is preferred.
