Please read all before applying. Must live and practice inside of Alabama and/or Mississippi to be considered
As the NOVI provider network continues to grow, we are specifically looking to add a Medical
Director who currently lives and practices in Alabama or Mississippi and understands the
medical and regulatory environment within these states.
Who We Are Looking For
We are seeking an MD or DO who resides in Alabama or Mississippi and holds an active,
unrestricted medical license in their state.
This physician will serve as both a Medical Director and an examining physician, including
personally completing required Good Faith Exams (GFEs)/patient evaluations for patients
receiving medical aesthetic and wellness services through providers within the NOVI network.
The ideal physician is comfortable with telehealth patient evaluations, medical aesthetics and
wellness, physician delegation, and ongoing clinical oversight of RNs, NPs, PAs, and other
qualified healthcare professionals.
Physicians who are licensed in both Alabama and Mississippi, or who hold additional active
state medical licenses, are especially encouraged to apply.
The Role
The NOVI Medical Director provides clinical oversight for qualified providers practicing through
the NOVI network while also completing required patient Good Faith Exams and medical
evaluations.
NOVI manages the technology, provider onboarding, administrative support, documentation
workflows, and day-to-day platform operations so our Medical Directors can remain focused on
patient evaluations, clinical oversight, patient safety, and provider support.
Responsibilities may include:
● Personally completing required Good Faith Exams (GFEs) and patient medical
evaluations
● Conducting patient evaluations remotely through the applicable NOVI/telehealth
workflow
● Reviewing relevant patient medical history, contraindications, medications, and other
clinical information as part of the evaluation
● Determining patient appropriateness for the requested medical aesthetic or wellness
service within the physician's clinical judgment and applicable requirements
● Documenting and completing patient evaluations appropriately and in a timely manner
● Providing medical oversight for eligible NOVI providers in Alabama and/or Mississippi
● Providing appropriate physician supervision and delegation in accordance with
applicable state requirements
● Reviewing and approving clinical protocols within the physician's scope of oversight
● Supporting providers with clinical questions through NOVI's Medical Director
communication system
● Reviewing treatment documentation and clinical information when appropriate or
required
● Supporting clinical decision-making, contraindication questions, complications, and
patient-safety concerns
● Participating in required physician/provider agreements and delegation documentation
● Maintaining reasonable and dependable responsiveness for both patient evaluations and
providers under your oversight
● Collaborating with the NOVI team as clinical services, protocols, and regulatory
requirements evolve
● Helping NOVI maintain a high standard of patient safety, documentation, compliance,
and provider support
Areas of Oversight & Patient Evaluation
Depending on physician experience, licensure, and applicable state requirements, the NOVI
network may include patients and providers utilizing services such as:
● Neurotoxins
● Dermal fillers
● Biostimulators
● IV hydration and IV therapy
● IM injections
● Medical weight management
● Peptide and wellness therapies
● Microneedling
● PRP/PRF and regenerative treatments
● Hair restoration
● Chemical peels
● Lasers and energy-based devices
● PDO threads
● Skin boosters
● Other medical aesthetic and wellness services
Compensation & Growth Opportunity
This is a 1099 contract opportunity with recurring compensation tied directly to the NOVI
provider memberships under your medical oversight.
Rather than a traditional fixed Medical Director salary, NOVI Medical Directors participate in the
recurring membership revenue generated by the providers within their oversight panel.
Compensation grows alongside your provider panel. As NOVI continues to expand throughout
Alabama, Mississippi, and other states where you may hold licensure, there is an opportunity for
your recurring monthly compensation to grow with the network.
The compensation structure reflects the physician's role in medical oversight as well as
required patient evaluation/GFE responsibilities.
Actual earnings are not guaranteed and depend on provider volume, membership mix, states of
licensure, scope of oversight, and continued participation within the NOVI network.
What Makes NOVI Different
NOVI is much more than a traditional Medical Director matching service.
Independent aesthetic and wellness providers frequently have to piece together medical
oversight, compliance, protocols, patient evaluations, EMR systems, education, scheduling,
payments, and business resources from multiple companies.
NOVI was created to bring those pieces together.
Our Medical Directors become an important part of that ecosystem while NOVI's team and
technology support the operational infrastructure surrounding the physician, provider, and
patient relationship.
