Keep production moving by maintaining, repairing, and optimizing complex electrical and control systems across our Wentzville operations.
- Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair industrial electrical equipment, control circuits, and power distribution systems.
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance to maximize equipment uptime.
- Adhere to OSHA and GM safety protocols; promote a strong safety culture.
- Read, interpret, and apply electrical drawings and wiring schematics.
- Diagnose malfunctions quickly to avoid delays in production.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams; support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Apply advanced problem-solving techniques to resolve technical issues.
- 6+ years as an Electrician or completion of a U.S. Department of Labor Electrical apprenticeship (Certificate of Completion).
- Minimum age: 18.
- Flexible to work day, afternoon, or night shifts; willing to work overtime, weekends, and holidays with limited notice.
- Current GM employees covered by a collective bargaining agreement: contact local HR/LR regarding placement options.
- Journeyperson In Training (JIT): $37.78 – $44.08/hour.
- Journeyperson: $44.98/hour.
- Placement and pay are based on credentials, certifications, and interview performance.

- Rapid response to safety instructions, alarms, and signals.
- Extended standing and on-foot work; occasional seated tasks.
- Consistent use of personal protective equipment.
- Work within an active industrial environment; operate mobile equipment as needed.
- Frequent bending, twisting, kneeling, crouching, and reaching; lift/carry up to 50 lbs. as needed.
