Registered Nurse (RN), 1:1 School Nurse for 2026 to 2027 School Year

$50 to $55+ per hour | 1099 Independent Contractor
Our client is now building their RN team for the upcoming school year and are seeking experienced nurses to provide 1:1 care for medically fragile students in NYC schools.
These are highly meaningful assignments for nurses who want a dependable daytime schedule and the opportunity to support a student’s health, safety, and access to education every day.
School-based schedule aligned with the academic calendar
Typically 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM
No nights or weekends

Consistent assignments with students who require skilled nursing support
Early placement opportunities for strong candidates
Provide one-to-one nursing services to a medically fragile student throughout the school day
Support students with needs that may include seizure care, diabetes management, G-tube feeding, suctioning, oxygen administration, ventilator support, pulse oximetry, medication administration, and other skilled interventions
Ride the bus with the student if required by the assignment
Partner with school personnel, family members, and care teams
Maintain timely and accurate clinical documentation in compliance with DOE and NYS requirements
Active NYS RN license
Minimum 1 year of nursing experience
Current CPR and First Aid certification
Pediatric, school-based, home care, or community-based experience preferred
Strong communication and independent clinical judgment
