Pay Rate: $22.00 per hour + Monthly Performance Bonus
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 9:30 AM – 6:00 PM, with occasional Saturdays as needed

Position Summary
Openwater Seafood LLC is seeking a motivated and energetic Safety & Training Lead to join our team. This position is responsible for coordinating employee training programs, promoting workplace safety, and supporting the development of a positive safety culture throughout our seafood processing facility.
The ideal candidate is bilingual in English and Spanish, has experience conducting employee training sessions, possesses strong communication and computer skills, and is eager to learn and grow within the organization.
Essential Responsibilities
- Conduct onboarding and orientation training for new employees.
- Deliver safety training programs and refresher courses to employees.
- Assist in maintaining and improving workplace safety initiatives.
- Support compliance with company policies, GMPs, food safety requirements, and safety procedures.
- Track and document employee training records and certifications.
- Monitor employee participation and understanding of training programs.
- Collaborate with supervisors and managers to identify training needs.
- Assist with safety inspections, observations, and corrective actions.
- Prepare training materials, presentations, and reports.
- Promote a culture of safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- Bilingual required (English and Spanish).
- Previous experience conducting employee training, coaching, or presentations required.
- Safety experience in manufacturing, food processing, warehouse, or industrial environments is a plus.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
Physical Requirements & Work Environment
- Comfortable working in refrigerated and cold environments.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Occasional lifting, bending, and moving throughout the facility.
- Must be able to conduct training sessions both in office settings and production areas.
