Christenson Transportation is looking for a full-time individual to work in the Road Breakdown Department that will help keep our trucks and trailers running safely and efficiently. In this role, you'll work with drivers, technicians, managers, and repair vendors to schedule maintenance, reduce equipment downtime, and keep our fleet in compliance with DOT requirements.
Schedule:
- 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- 40 hours per week
Responsibilities
- Schedule repairs and preventative maintenance for trucks and trailers.
- Coordinate with repair shops, drivers, and technicians.
- Help minimize repair costs and equipment downtime.
- Keep equipment preventative maintenance (PM) services and DOT inspections up to date.
- Create work orders and purchase orders in the maintenance software.
- Answer and make phone calls related to maintenance needs.
- Complete other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of experience in the transportation industry.
- Basic knowledge of commercial trucks, trailers, and repair procedures.
- Experience using Microsoft Word and Excel.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proficient in computers and typing skills
