Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Machinist / Precision Fabricator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience manufacturing precision machine components using manual and/or CNC machining equipment.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience in fabrication, machining, CNC programming, and manufacturing.
- Preparing and aligning metal pieces.
- Operating welding equipment safely.
- Inspecting welds for strength and quality.
- Ability to read, interpret, and work from blueprints, technical drawings, and engineering specifications.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Experience working in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
- Skilled in the safe operation of fabrication equipment, power tools, and precision measuring instruments.
- Ability to lift and move heavy materials and perform repetitive physical tasks in a manufacturing environment.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Flexible to work varying shifts, including evenings, weekends, and overtime, as business needs require.
- Must successfully pass pre-employment screening, including a criminal background check and drug testing, and participate in random drug testing as required.
- Demonstrated commitment to workplace safety, quality standards, and continuous improvement.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish.
Essential Responsibilities
- Set up, program, and operate CNC lathes, mills, grinders, drill presses, table saws, tube benders, sheet metal cutters, and other fabrication and machining equipment.
- Fabricate, modify, and repair metal and plastic parts and assemblies using blueprints, technical drawings, and engineering specifications.
- Perform machining, welding, cutting, grinding, finishing, and assembly operations to meet quality and production standards.
- Machine custom components such as shafts, bushings, spacers, screws, and other precision machine parts.
- Inspect completed work to verify compliance with dimensional, quality, and engineering specifications.
- Prioritize and complete assigned projects within established deadlines while maintaining a high level of accuracy and workmanship.
- Troubleshoot fabrication and machining issues and recommend process improvements when appropriate.
- Work independently with minimal supervision while collaborating effectively with maintenance, engineering, and production personnel.
- Maintain fabrication equipment, tools, and work areas in a clean, organized, and safe condition.
- Comply with all company safety policies, OSHA regulations, quality standards, and established operating procedures.
- Promptly report unsafe conditions, equipment malfunctions, and quality concerns to the appropriate supervisor.
- Adhere to all Human Resources, Quality, and Company policies and procedures.
- Maintain flexibility to work overtime, evenings, weekends, or alternate shifts as required to support business operations.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints.
Pay: $25.00 - $26.00 per hour
