Duties
- Assist clients with personal care tasks including bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting to ensure comfort and hygiene.
- Support residents with mobility and transfer methods using equipment such as Hoyer lifts and patient transfer techniques.
- Observe for changes in health status, and report findings according to care plans.
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to dietary needs and assist with meal consumption when necessary.
- Administer medications following prescribed schedules while adhering to HIPAA regulations to ensure privacy and safety.
- Maintain accurate documentation of care provided, patient observations, and any incidents or changes in condition.
- Support clients with household chores such as cleaning, laundry, and organizing to promote a clean and safe living environment.
Requirements
- Prior experience working in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health environments is highly preferred.
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting and patient transfers safely and effectively.
- Certification or training in CPR and first aid is required; additional certifications in medication administration or hospice care are a plus.
- Strong communication skills for effective client interaction and collaboration with healthcare teams.
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations to maintain confidentiality of patient information.
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities or developmental delays is beneficial for providing personalized support.

55-year-old male with cerebral palsy looking for a direct service professional. He is very active working two jobs in the community. Needs assistance with all ADLs, and homemaking. Must be able to pass a background check through DHS. Drivers license strongly preferred but not required. Currently looking for every other week overnights. Thursday through Sunday $23 per hour.
