Now Hiring: Medical Assistant – Family Practice/Geriatrics
We are seeking a dependable, motivated, and organized Medical Assistant to join our busy family practice and geriatrics office. This is a fast-paced environment, and we are looking for someone who can multitask efficiently while providing compassionate patient care.
Spanish-speaking preferred.
Responsibilities:
- Rooming patients and obtaining vital signs
- Administering injections and medications as ordered
- Performing blood draws and collecting urine specimens
- Assisting providers with patient care and procedures
- Processing medication prior authorizations
- Completing radiology/imaging authorizations
- Managing patient calls, messages, and follow-ups
- Documenting accurately in EMR systems, preferably eClinicalWorks (eCW)
- Scheduling appointments and coordinating patient care
- Maintaining organized patient records and workflow
- Assisting with administrative and clinical duties as needed
- Traveling to other clinic locations if needed
Qualifications:
- Medical Assistant certification preferred, but experience will be considered
- Experience in family practice, internal medicine, or geriatrics preferred
- Knowledge of eClinicalWorks (eCW) EMR system preferred
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a high-volume office
- Professional communication and teamwork skills
- Reliable transportation and willingness to travel if needed
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
