Duties
- Greet customers promptly and professionally, assessing their needs to recommend suitable parts and accessories.
- Utilize automotive diagnostics and repair knowledge to identify the correct vehicle parts quickly and accurately.
- Manage inventory control by stocking, organizing, and maintaining parts shelves using inventory management systems such as CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System).
- Process sales transactions efficiently through POS (Point of Sale) systems, handling cash, credit, and other payment methods with accuracy.
- Negotiate with customers to upsell parts and accessories, enhancing sales opportunities while ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Collaborate with the service department to fulfill parts orders promptly, ensuring timely vehicle maintenance and repair services.
- Maintain excellent communication with customers via phone etiquette, providing updates on orders and assisting with inquiries.
- Support marketing efforts by promoting available products and special offers to increase retail sales.
- Keep detailed records of sales, stock levels, and order fulfillment using Microsoft Excel or similar tools.
- Ensure a clean, organized workspace that adheres to safety standards and promotes efficient operations.
Qualifications
- Previous dealership experience or retail sales background is preferred but not required; strong organizational skills are essential.
- Knowledge of automotive diagnostics, vehicle maintenance, and automotive repair processes is highly advantageous.
- Proficiency in inventory management systems such as CMMS; experience with POS systems is a plus.
- Bilingual or multilingual abilities are desirable to serve a diverse customer base effectively.
- Strong math skills for retail math calculations, inventory control, and cash handling accuracy.
- Excellent communication skills combined with friendly phone etiquette to engage customers professionally.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
