Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and a strong understanding of kitchen operations. As a Line Cook, you will be responsible for preparing all menu items in accordance with our restaurant’s standards. This position requires a commitment to food safety and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and presentation standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including workstations and storage areas.
- Adhere to food safety and handling guidelines to ensure the highest quality of food preparation.
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours.
- Assist in menu planning and development, contributing creative ideas for new dishes.
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and effectively, including knives and other food preparation tools.
- Maintain a positive attitude while working under pressure in a busy kitchen environment.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling techniques.
- Proficiency in knife skills and various cooking techniques.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
- Excellent time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
***Line cooks must have at least 1 year of kitchen experience in a fast-paced environment. Experience on grill & fry is preferred. Must be able to work as part of a team and display the ability to multi-task while staying organized and on top of customer orders in a time efficient manner. Candidates must be reliable and available to work a flexible schedule that may include a combination of days, nights & weekends. Pay: $18.00 - $23.00 per hour
