We are looking for a full-time HR Business Partner to join our team in Brisbane, CA.
- This position is located onsite and is not a remote or hybrid position.
Responsibilities / Job Description

Serve as a trusted advisor to management, providing risk-assessed, strategic HR guidance tailored to business and operational goals

Independently analyze workforce trends and metrics to identify strengths and opportunities, recommend improvements, and develop innovative solutions in collaboration with the broader HR Team. Understand data integrity, including the ability to identify potential biases in the data or sampling methods in order to determine data validity when communicating analytics. Effectively communicate HR metrics, such as Turnover/Retention, Overtime, Attendance, and Labor Planning, and the operational and financial impact of the metrics to Leadership teams.

Lead strategic initiatives to improve employee engagement, morale, and retention through data-driven insights.

Support workplace planning, succession planning, and career development pathways in partnership with leadership.

Independently manage and resolve complex employee relations issues with an emphasis on risk mitigation.

Lead thorough, objective investigations when required, ensuring legal compliance during each step of the process. Maintain detailed notes on any workplace investigations and escalate any issues to appropriate teams that pose significant risk. Communicate effectively with all relevant stakeholders in the investigation in a timely manner and generate findings in a concise, organized manner.

Provide guidance to managers on HR policies, compliance, regulatory requirements, and best practices to foster strong work environments that align with company values

Coach and mentor managers on performance management by offering counseling and support in handling disciplinary actions, terminations, promotions, and career development plans. Ensure that operational goals align with talent management strategies through frequent check-ins with managers and leadership.

Partner with Learning and Development Manager to assess organizational training needs and design tailored training programs to address skills gaps and foster employee development. Utilizes the company’s Learning Management System (LMS) to assign existing resources, proactively generate new modules, and monitor compliance

Participate in evaluation and monitoring of training programs to ensure that learning objectives are being met with the most effective methods and tools through

Conduct regular meetings with management to review HR initiatives and metrics, address workforce concerns, and align organizational priorities

Develop and implement communication strategies to ensure employees understand relevant policies, programs, and procedures

Identify areas of opportunity for improvement of processes and recommend changes.

Oversee recruitment processes, including job posting, candidate selection, onboarding for new hires, and transfers. Ensure that all new hires receive an exceptional new hire experience and that all candidates are informed of any decisions in a timely manner. Hold managers accountable for performing regular evaluations of new hires and assist with addressing issues from either the new hire or the managers accordingly.

Coordinates safety initiatives and processes with Corporate Safety Manager including but not limited to developing accident prevention protocols, maintaining regulatory compliance, assisting with Safety incentive programs, and conducting post-accident investigations and testing as required.

Manage and execute HR Projects of various scopes with excellent time and resource management skills to ensure timely and efficient completion. Proactively develop project proposals that align with company values and set realistic deadlines while balancing other job responsibilities. Consider and communicate with all relevant stakeholders regarding project status in a timely manner.

Be a change management champion through working with leadership on the roll out of change projects and leading the team successfully through changes.

Knowledge, Skill, and Experience
Minimum Education (or substitute experience required):

Bachelor’s degree is preferred

Minimum experience required:
-
Minimum of 5 years of experience resolving complex employee relations issues.
-
Working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines, including compensation practices, organizational diagnosis, employee and union relations, diversity, performance management, and federal and state respective employment laws.
SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) or SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) credential or the equivalent in knowledge level.
