Job Summary:
Evercare at Stearns is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Wound Nurse to join our team in Granite City, IL. As a vital member of our healthcare staff, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality wound care services to our patients. With a focus on patient-centered care, you will work collaboratively with our interdisciplinary team to provide expert guidance and education to patients and families.
Responsibilities:
Provide wound care services to patients with diverse wound types and complexities
Conduct thorough wound assessments and develop individualized treatment plans
Implement and monitor wound care interventions, including debridement, irrigation, and dressing changes
Educate patients and families on wound care techniques, nutrition, and hygiene practices
Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement comprehensive care plans
Document patient progress and outcomes in accordance with facility policies
Participate in quality assessment and improvement initiatives to ensure optimal patient outcomes
Requirements:
Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) with a current Illinois license
1 years of experience in wound care or a related field (new graduates welcome to apply)
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
Familiarity with wound care principles, practices, and techniques
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to facility policies
On-Call
