Our small but dynamic team values integrity, collaboration, and a commitment to excellence. We are seeking an experienced and motivated Senior Accountant to work with the existing team.
Job Summary:
We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our team. This role will be responsible for overseeing financial reporting, managing accounting functions, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in real estate accounting and Yardi software.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage all accounting operations for the company, including bookkeeping, general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and bank reconciliations.
- Review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
- Assist in budgeting and forecasting.
- Interact with lenders and investors.
- Ensure timely and accurate tax filings and compliance with local and federal regulations.
- Reconcile and maintain financial records related to property transactions, capital improvements, and investment activities.
- Coordinate with external auditors and tax advisors for annual audits and tax preparation.
- Monitor cash flow and assist in financial analysis for decision-making.
- Support and advise senior management on financial performance and operational costs.
Qualifications:
- Strong proficiency in Yardi and Microsoft Excel.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 5+ years of accounting experience, preferably in real estate or property management with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- CPA or accounting certification is a plus but not required.
