Duties
- Prepare and assemble sandwiches, salads, and other menu items with precision and care, following established recipes and presentation standards.
- Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS to process transactions accurately, handle cash and card payments, and manage sales efficiently.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of workstations, utensils, and food preparation areas in compliance with food safety regulations.
- Provide excellent customer service by greeting guests warmly, answering questions about menu options, and upselling additional items to enhance their experience.
- Manage food handling responsibilities including proper storage, portioning, and waste reduction to ensure freshness and quality.
- Support team members with bussing tables, restocking supplies, and maintaining a tidy environment throughout the shift.
- Follow all safety protocols related to food handling, sanitation, and equipment operation to promote a safe working environment for everyone.
Skills
- Proven experience in food preparation within quick service or fast-food restaurants is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for efficient transaction processing.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and positively with guests.
- Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math calculations, and order accuracy.
- Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures.
- Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment while managing time efficiently.
- Previous experience in retail or grocery store environments is a plus for understanding inventory management and serving customers confidently.
