Landscape & Lighting Apprentice
Tough Guys Landscaping & Lighting is seeking a motivated and hardworking Landscape & Lighting Apprentice to join our growing team. This is a full-time, year-round position that offers hands on training and career development in landscaping, outdoor lighting, holiday lighting, and snow removal services.
We are looking for someone who enjoys working outdoors, takes pride in quality workmanship, and is eager to learn new skills. No experience is required we are willing to train the right person with a strong work ethic and positive attitude.
What We Do Year-Round
Spring, Summer & Fall
- Landscape installation and maintenance
- Planting trees, shrubs, flowers, and sod
- Irrigation installation and repairs
- Hardscape installation, including patios, walkways, and retaining walls
- Fence installation
Fall & Winter
- Custom Christmas light installation and removal
- Permanent exterior lighting installation
- Snow removal services may include shoveling, plowing with a four wheeler, and plowing with a truck.
- Equipment maintenance and shop projects
- Landscape installations depending on weather
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with planning and installation of landscaping projects
- Install sod, plants, shrubs, trees, and mulch
- Assist with hardscape projects, including patios, walkways, and retaining walls
- Assist with irrigation system installation and repairs
- Build and install a variety of fencing systems
- Install custom holiday lighting and permanent outdoor lighting systems
- Operate landscaping equipment including mowers, trimmers, blowers, skid steers, and other tools
- Operate trucks and trailers (training provided)
- Assist with snow removal operations during the winter months
- Maintain equipment and ensure proper operation
- Communicate professionally with customers and represent the company positively
- Follow all safety procedures and company policies
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull heavy materials up to or over 75lbs
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Landscaping, construction, lighting, or equipment experience is a plus but not required
- Able to perform manual labor tasks. ( Digging, Hand Grading, Backfilling, Push Broom, Raking, etc.)

Pay: $15.00 - $22.00 per hour
