American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position requiring Level I or Level II trauma experience and a VA or compact RN license.

Work in the Emergency Department of a Level I and Level II Trauma Center
-
13-week contract assignment
-
Day shift schedule (3x12 hours), 11:00-23:00
-
Scheduled for 36 or 48 hours per week with variable days based on staffing needs
-
Weekend shifts required
-
Every other holiday coverage required
-
Block scheduling cannot be guaranteed
-
Floating required within scope of practice as needed

Active VA or compact RN license required, pending license accepted if in hand by the Wednesday before start date

Current certifications required: ACLS, BLS, PALS, and TNCC (TNCC may be pending but must be obtained before start)

Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department experience required

At least 1 year of Level I trauma facility experience or 2 years of Level II trauma facility experience required

Some pediatric experience required

Epic EMR experience required

BSN preferred
-
Nursys license verification required

Provide emergency department nursing care including triage of incoming patients

Maximum time off request of 40 hours per 13-week contract, must be disclosed prior to submission

Time off requests cannot be approved around Labor Day

Vacation plans between sign date and start date must be disclosed to arrange an appropriate start date

Specialty-specific orientation modules completed during onboarding

Candidates who previously worked for the facility as permanent staff or travelers must disclose this, with a 1-year separation required for rehire eligibility

External travelers may not exceed 365 total assignment days at this facility and are not eligible to return after reaching this limit
