Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States at the time of application on a full-time basis without the need for employer-sponsored work authorization now or in the future. Candidates who quality for TN classification may apply but are responsible for securing and maintaining their own work authorization.
- Prepare calculations, schematic designs, layouts, reports, etc. for energy infrastructure projects involving oil, gas, LNG, CNG, propane systems, and renewable resources.
- Analyze reports, maps, drawings, tests and aerial photographs to plan and design projects.
- Exercise discretion and judgment and apply engineering principles to meet project challenges.
- Contribute to teams that help clients meet the challenges of energy delivery system operation and development.
- Utilize various computer programs for data and information gathering, formula calculations, various studies and report generating and preparing written reports.
- Demonstrates initiative on moderate problem solving within assigned tasks.
- Attend client meetings - day or night.
- Works under the close supervision of more senior staff.
- Project engineering to include:
o Specify and/or evaluate electrical equipment and process instrumentation.
o Specify lighting fixtures for industrial facilities.
o Perform load calculations, arc flash studies, cathodic protection reports, lightning studies, etc.
o Specify conductor size and type for power distribution, controls and communications circuits.
o Specify protective devices (fuses, circuit breakers) for motor circuits and other equipment circuits.
o Develop one-line diagrams, wiring diagrams, panel schematics and cable schedules.
o Determine Hazardous Locations of project area and apply to all of the above.
o Review and/or specify PLC-based systems and integrate into proposed or existing systems.
o Produce Process & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs) from Process Flow Diagram piping.
- Progress toward engineer licensure.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
