Position: Headwaters Ice Rink Ice Guard
Schedule: Flexible hours depending on programs, lessons, and special events
Location: Fort Wayne, IN
What You'll Do:

Monitor ice activities and ensure safety during public sessions, lessons, hockey games, and events

Respond calmly and effectively to medical emergencies

Open, close, and secure the facility

Distribute and collect rental skates
-
Handle incidents, report disciplinary issues, and assist guests professionally

Support private/group rentals and special events
-
Assist with concessions, light cleaning, and inventory management
-
Enforce facility rules and Parks & Recreation policies

Communicate professionally with staff, volunteers, and the public

Train and supervise volunteers as needed
-
Collect user fees and maintain accurate records
Must-Have Qualifications:

Minimum high school diploma or GED
-
One to three months related experience or equivalent
-
Effective oral and written communication
-
First Aid and CPR certification within two weeks of hire
-
Valid Indiana Driver's License if operating a City vehicle
-
Ice skating experience recommended
