Overview
We are seeking a full-time Lead Caregiver & Resident Driver at South Winds Assisted Living, Located in Kenosha, WI. This person must be able to multi-task and succeed in a fast-paced environment, be able to motivate and inspire a team, and effectively respond to the changing needs of the seniors we serve.
- Provide compassionate, hands-on care and supervision to residents, including assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs).
- Supervise and support caregiving staff to ensure high-quality care and adherence to facility policies.
- Monitor residents’ health, safety, and overall well-being, reporting any changes to management or healthcare providers.
- Administer medications as directed and maintain accurate documentation.
- Assist in coordinating activities, meals, and daily schedules to promote resident engagement and quality of life.
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, staff, and healthcare professionals.
- Train, mentor, and oversee caregiving staff to maintain a positive, team-oriented environment.
- Ensure the facility remains clean, organized, and compliant with state regulations.
- Safely drive residents to doctors’ appointments, outings, and other approved destinations.
Qualifications / Requirements
- Previous caregiving and supervisory experience preferred.
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
- Ability to manage and mentor staff in a small team setting.
- Compassionate, patient, and dedicated to supporting seniors.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (required).
- Ability to safely operate facility or personal vehicle for transporting residents.
- Must pass background check and meet all state compliance requirements.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $14.50 - $17.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
