As a Press Brake Operator at McLanahan, you'll play a critical role in transforming raw material into precision-formed components used throughout our equipment. In this hands-on position, you'll operate press brake equipment, interpret blueprints, verify measurements, and ensure parts are produced accurately, safely, and on schedule.

WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Operate press brake equipment
Set up and operate press brake machinery to bend and form metal parts according to engineering specifications.
- Read blueprints and layout parts
Interpret mechanical drawings and complete layout work to ensure accurate bends, angles, and finished dimensions.
- Verify quality and measurements
Use measuring tools, protractors, punches, and dies to ensure parts meet quality standards and specifications.
- Load and move materials safely
Load and unload materials while utilizing overhead cranes and material handling equipment when needed.
Produce quality parts efficiently while meeting production schedules and customer requirements.
- Maintain equipment and work areas
Perform basic equipment maintenance, keep workspaces organized, and support 5S and safety initiatives.
- Cross-train and support the team
Learn additional equipment and processes while working closely with teammates to maintain a smooth production flow.
WHAT YOU BRING
Experience and Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- 2-4 years of manufacturing experience preferred.
- Experience operating press brake equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical blueprints.
- Experience using measuring tools and inspection equipment.
- Experience with press brake punches, dies, and protractors preferred.
