Arrange tables and seating plan for the night based on expected reservations

Answer phone calls and messages sent to the restaurant

Ensure the arrivals area is clean, stocked with supplies needed and organized at all times

Welcome our guests upon arrival and thank them when departing

Approaches guests and collects information needed to assist with seat and bar arrangements
-
Check in guests with reservation and confirm any applicable notations

Organizing nightly dining reservations, private parties and any guest's special occasion
-
Maintains knowledge of the restaurant layout and table numbers, seating the room evenly per operational needs and member requests

Accommodate walk in guests

Works with a sense of urgency to anticipate guests and team members needs when the opportunity arises

Communicates with management, and service staff immediately to rectify any and all guest needs and requests
-
Walk guests to table and be available to answer any immediate questions
-
Ensure all notes, allergies mentions and requests are communicated to server

Share your thorough knowledge of the food and beverage menu in order to answer all questions from guests and team

Ensure the work area is in compliance with the Health and TABC code at all times

You Should Have
-
Prefer one (1) or more years of serving experience in a high volume fine dining restaurant
-
A valid TABC Certification and Food Handlers Certification may be required and must be obtained before entering this position
-
Must have an outgoing personality and hospitality driven attitude
-
Must be a highly organized individual with the ability to handle numerous tasks at a time
-
Must be polished, professional, friendly, dynamic and able to multitask
PHYSICAL AND WORKING ENVIRONMENT:
-
Must be able to stand or walk for a minimum eight-hour shift.

Must be observant and quick to respond to various situations while also multitasking and handling stressful situations.

Must be able to twist, tow (push or pull), reach, bend, climb and carry objects as necessary.

Must be able to lift to 25 pounds.

Must have excellent communication skills and be able to read, write, speak and understand English.

Must be able to work in a fast-paced and high-volume environment in the presence of areas containing high noise levels, bright lights and dust and communicate during this time – sometimes within a small area.

Must be able to work inside and outside at all times of the year as needed, based upon business volumes.
