Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival, providing friendly and professional customer service.
- Manage restaurant reservations efficiently using restaurant table management systems such as Toast POS or Micros POS.
- Maintain accurate waitlists and seating charts to optimize table turnover and guest flow.
- Answer phone inquiries with clear communication, providing information about wait times, reservations, and restaurant policies while practicing proper phone etiquette.
- Coordinate with the dining team to ensure timely seating and guest comfort throughout their visit.
- Uphold food safety standards by adhering to health regulations and ensuring cleanliness in guest areas.
- Assist with guest services by addressing questions or concerns promptly, ensuring a positive experience from start to finish.
Experience
- Previous host or hostess experience in a fast-paced restaurant environment is preferred but not required; we value enthusiasm and a willingness to learn!
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage confidently with guests and team members.
- Experience with restaurant reservation management systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus.
- Basic math skills for handling reservations, waitlist calculations, and POS transactions.
- Knowledge of food service operations and hospitality principles enhances your ability to provide exceptional guest relations.
- Demonstrated organizational skills to manage multiple tables, reservations, and guest requests efficiently.
- Familiarity with phone communication best practices and maintaining professional phone etiquette in all interactions.
