Registered Nurse (RN) – Pediatric Care Team
We are looking for a caring and motivated Registered Nurse (RN) to become part of our pediatric healthcare team. In this role, you will support children with specialized medical needs by providing skilled nursing care, monitoring health status, administering treatments, and helping ensure each child receives high-quality, individualized care.
The ideal candidate is compassionate, dependable, and enjoys working closely with children and families. Previous experience in pediatrics or with medically complex children is strongly preferred.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver nursing care in accordance with physician orders, care plans, and established clinical standards.
- Assess and monitor children's overall health and well-being, documenting observations and interventions accurately.
- Administer medications, treatments, and specialized feedings, including enteral (G-tube) feedings when required.
- Identify changes in a child's condition and communicate concerns promptly to the healthcare team and family members.
- Maintain thorough and timely clinical documentation in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Work collaboratively with nurses, therapists, physicians, and caregivers to promote the best possible outcomes for each child.
- Help maintain a safe, supportive, and child-friendly environment.
- Provide guidance and education to families regarding their child's care as appropriate.
Qualifications:
- Active Florida Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Current CPR/BLS certification; PALS certification is a plus.
- Experience in pediatric nursing preferred.
- Previous experience in a PPEC setting, pediatric home health, or pediatric acute care is beneficial.
- Familiarity with tracheostomy care, G-tubes, and caring for medically fragile children is preferred; training available for the right candidate.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and teamwork skills.
- Passion for providing exceptional care to children and their families.
