Automotive Sales Responsibilities:
- Completes car deals at the desk
- Works directly with employees, lenders and customers to develop and maintain relationships
- Continually strives to enhance the sales process
- Knows and understands the Bushing laws and ensures that all employees involved with such practices maintain compliance of said laws
- Encourages and coaches Finance and Sales associates daily
- Maximizes every sale on the front and back end
- Communicates clearly and effectively
- Monitors inventory and communicates what may be needed to add variety or what may be insufficient
- Checks online advertising for accuracy of pricing, availability, and for any necessary updates
- Dealer Trades—appraises if needed
- Submits trades for approval
- Hires and trains sales team
- Oversees sales team
Automotive Sales Manager Qualifications:
- Used car sales experience required
- Prior automotive desk, finance and sales managerial experience required
- Ability to stay strong and calm in stressful situations and thrive under pressure
- Team player and ability to work collaboratively
- Superior communication skills, both oral and written
- Outgoing with a friendly personality, especially while handling objections and negotiations on pricing
- Enthusiastic with high energy throughout the sales work day
- Strong computer and phone skills
- Professional appearance and demeanor
- Strong work ethic
- Current, valid driver’s license and satisfactory Motor Vehicle Report (MVR)
