As a Pharmacy Driver, you will be the friendly face of our pharmacy, delivering essential medications efficiently and professionally across designated routes.
Duties
- Safely operate your own vehicle to deliver pharmacy supplies and medications to various locations following assigned routes.
- Load and unload deliveries using manual handling techniques and adhering to safe lifting practices.
- Ensure all deliveries are accurate, complete, and on time by verifying shipment details and obtaining necessary signatures.
- Maintain compliance with DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations and local traffic laws during all driving activities.
- Provide exceptional customer service by interacting professionally with clients, answering questions, and addressing delivery concerns courteously.
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after shifts to ensure safety and proper functioning of the vehicle.
- Keep detailed records of deliveries, mileage logs, and any incidents or delays encountered during routes.
Requirements
- Proven experience in commercial driving, courier services, or delivery driving with a focus on route driving.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience operating a box truck or similar vehicle is essential.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally.
- Physical ability to load, unload, move heavy items safely, and perform manual handling tasks regularly.
- Familiarity with load & unload procedures and route planning for efficient deliveries.
