Overview
We are seeking motivated Welders to join a fast-paced manufacturing team in Flint, MI. This position is responsible for fabricating, fitting, and welding metal components according to sample parts. Candidates should be comfortable working in a production environment where quality, efficiency, and safety are essential
Responsibilities
- Perform continuous MIG welding on metal components and assemblies.
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, work instructions, and sample parts.
- Fabricate, fit, and weld metal parts to required specifications.
- Operate welding equipment and troubleshoot minor equipment issues as needed.
- Use jigs, fixtures, and measuring tools to position and install movable parts.
- Grind, clean, and remove debris from finished weldments.
- Inspect completed work to ensure quality standards are met.
- Maintain a safe and organized work area while following all safety procedures.
- Meet production goals in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Qualifications
- Previous welding experience preferred
- Recent welding school graduates are welcome and encouraged to apply.
- Experience with MIG welding
- Ability to read and understand blueprints and technical drawings, is a plus
- Familiarity with welding tools, grinders, and fabrication equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to learn and develop welding skills in a production environment
Work Environment
- Manufacturing and production shop environment.
- Conditions may be dirty, dusty, smoky, and noisy.
- Fast-paced, high-production setting with demanding deadlines.
- Mandatory and voluntary overtime may be required based on production needs.
- Candidates must be comfortable working in a high-stress production environment while maintaining quality and safety standards.
Pay: From $20.45 per hour
