Position Overview
Victory & Vice is looking for reliable and experienced Cooks to join our back-of-house team. This role is ideal for someone who works well in a fast-paced kitchen, takes pride in consistency, and understands the importance of quality, cleanliness, and teamwork.
As a Cook, you will help prepare and execute menu items during service while maintaining high standards for food quality, presentation, safety, and efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and company standards
- Set up and stock stations before and during service
- Maintain consistency in food quality, portioning, and presentation
- Work efficiently during high-volume shifts, including game days, nights, and weekends
- Follow proper food handling, sanitation, and safety procedures
- Keep workstations clean, organized, and stocked
- Communicate clearly with kitchen team members and management
- Assist with prep, cleaning, and closing duties as needed
- Help receive, rotate, and store food products properly
- Support the team in creating a strong guest experience through quality food
Qualifications
- Previous kitchen or line cook experience preferred
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
- Strong attention to detail and consistency
- Dependable, punctual, and team-oriented
- Willingness to follow recipes, systems, and kitchen standards
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs when needed
- Flexible availability, including nights and weekends
- Food Handler Certification preferred, or willingness to obtain one
Schedule
- Part-time and full-time opportunities available
- Evening and weekend availability preferred
- Game day and high-volume shift availability a plus

Responsibilities
- Assist in menu planning to ensure variety, nutritional value, and adherence to dietary guidelines
- Prepare, cook, and assemble meals according to established recipes and safety standards
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including knives, slicers, ovens, and mixers
- Maintain cleanliness of work areas, utensils, and kitchen equipment in compliance with health regulations
- Handle food with care, ensuring proper storage, portioning, and presentation
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate meal preparation and delivery schedules
- Follow food safety management practices to prevent contamination and ensure quality control
Qualifications
- Previous experience in dietary departments or as a dietary aide is highly preferred
- Knowledge of menu planning, food preparation, cooking techniques, and food handling procedures
- Experience with cleaning protocols and operating kitchen equipment safely
- Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with kitchen staff and team members
- Familiarity with safety standards in food production environments
- Culinary experience or restaurant background demonstrating knife skills and slicing techniques
- Ability to adhere strictly to recipes and meal preparation guidelines
- Knowledge of food safety management practices within the food industry or catering settings
