We are seeking an experienced, dependable, and organized Service & Parts Manager to oversee daily operations for our service and parts departments. This is a full-time leadership position responsible for managing technicians, coordinating repairs, parts look-up, maintaining inventory, and ensuring exceptional customer service for our customers in the small engine and heavy equipment industries.
The ideal candidate is hands-on, mechanically knowledgeable, customer-focused, and capable of leading a fast-paced dealership environment.
Responsibilities
- Manage daily operations of the service and parts departments
- Schedule and coordinate equipment repairs and maintenance
- Supervise and support service technicians and parts staff
- Maintain accurate parts inventory and ordering processes
- Assist customers with service estimates, repair timelines, and parts inquiries
- Ensure timely completion of work orders and warranty claims
- Work closely with vendors and manufacturers
- Monitor department profitability, labor efficiency, and inventory control
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
- Help develop and improve operational procedures and customer satisfaction
Qualifications
- Prior experience in service management, parts management, or dealership operations preferred
- Knowledge of small engines, lawn equipment, agricultural equipment, construction equipment, or diesel/heavy equipment
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Ability to multitask and stay organized in a busy environment
- Experience with inventory systems and work order software is a plus
- Mechanical knowledge is required
