Duties
- Greet guests warmly and guide them to their tables with enthusiasm and professionalism
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring clarity and precision
- Provide detailed menu descriptions, including wine and spirits recommendations, to enhance guest experience
- Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation and sanitation
- Upsell menu items including cocktails, wines, desserts, or specialty dishes to maximize sales opportunities
- Handle cash transactions accurately, process sales using POS systems, and manage billing efficiently
- Maintain cleanliness of tables, assist with bussing duties, and ensure all dining areas meet sanitation standards
Requirements
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred, especially fine dining or hospitality settings
- Knowledge of POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is highly desirable
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly, energetic demeanor
- Ability to multitask effectively while managing time efficiently during busy hours
- Basic math skills for handling cash, processing transactions, and giving accurate change
- Culinary or food industry experience including food handling, sanitation practices, and food safety regulations
- Familiarity with openTable reservations system or similar booking platforms is a plus
- Excellent communication skills along with wine knowledge and spirits experience to assist guests confidently
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
