A well-established Columbia based consumer bankruptcy law firm seeks a Bankruptcy Attorney to join their collegial law firm. This Law Firm Owner is ready to train the right person!
- Prior Bankruptcy experience is a plus but this law firm will train the right candidate!
- Highly-motivated, friendly, and upbeat individual.
- Detail-orientated and able to meet deadlines, have good communication skills, and a high level of organizational skills.
- Position requires daily contact with bankruptcy trustees, court officials, and clients.
- 341 hearing coverage, meeting with prospective debtors to determine their eligibility for appropriate bankruptcy chapter.
- Preparation and filing of bankruptcy petitions, schedules, financial statements and filings related to the commencement, continuation, and conclusion of such cases, drafting pleadings and memoranda of law, attending hearings.
- Attend administrative hearings that are all on Zoom; Almost all hearings are held in the mornings.
- Attend in person confirmation hearings.
- Conduct new client consultations. Experience with new client consultations is highly desirable.
- Track casework through case management systems.
- Must exhibit excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Must exhibit intermediate computer/technical skills.
- Must be well organized.
- Must be a team player.
- Must provide excellent customer service.
- Reliability, dependability, and punctuality are of the utmost importance.
- Bar Admission, active and in good standing in SC is required.
