We are looking for an experienced Lead Barista to oversee daily operations, lead our team of barista, and ensure a great customer experience. Responsibilities include supporting the Café Manager, overseeing cafe operations, placing orders, managing inventory and invoices, and crafting top-quality beverages. You will be a role model, maintain a positive team environment, and fill in for the Café Manager when needed.

Essential Duties and Major Responsibilities:
Team Leadership:
-
Supervise and motivate a team of baristas across 6 locations to deliver exceptional service and maintain high operational standards.

Take initiative and act as a role model for others.

Ensure company standards of quality and performance are met.
Customer Service:

Provide a welcoming and friendly atmosphere for customers, addressing any concerns or special requests promptly.

Maintain high standards of customer service, ensuring that each guest has a positive experience.
Operational Duties:
-
Oversee the preparation and presentation of beverages and food items, ensuring adherence to recipes, quality standards and county health regulations.

Handle cash and credit transactions accurately, maintaining a balanced register and reconciling daily sales.

Help create beverage specials for seasonal promotion, themed events, or as needed.
Inventory Management:

Monitor inventory levels and place orders for coffee, supplies, cash and equipment as needed.

Receive and inspect shipments, ensuring that all products meet quality standards and are correctly stored.

Move product across cafes as needed.
Administrative Tasks:

Submit accurate inventory reports on a regular basis to track stock levels and identify trends or issues.

Manage and pay invoices for supplies and equipment, ensuring timely and accurate payments.

Maintain records of financial transactions and assist with budgeting and cost control.

Complete bank runs to sufficiently par and balance tills.
Health and Safety Compliance:

Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations.

Conduct regular checks at each cafe to maintain cleanliness and safety standards among all baristas.
Marketing and Community Engagement:

Assist with implementing promotions and special events to attract and engage customers.

Represent the coffee shop positively within the local community and engage with customers to build lasting relationships
Experience & Qualifications Needed to be Successful

2 years of experience as a barista.
-
Strong knowledge of coffee preparation techniques and beverage recipes.
-
Proven excellence in leadership and team management skills.

Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
-
Proficiency in handling cash transactions and using point-of-sale systems.

Experience with inventory management and administrative tasks.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle stress effectively.

Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Basic knowledge of health and safety regulations.
